I had my breast augmentation due to the big difference in size from one side to the other, and my desire to be fuller. I was twice as large on my left as my right, and even though I padded my bras I could not get them even size, which showed in clothes and especially bathing suits. This made me very self conscious for a lot of years.

After thinking and researching for many years, I am now 8 days post op on May 17, 2007. I am starting to feel much better. The first 5 days I had a lot of sharp, searing, stabbing pain in my left breast when I made the slightest move. My physician told me it was a nerve healing and that I would be better in a few days. He was right. He explained that different patients experience varying degrees of pain. I had nearly no pain in my right side, and was able to do a lot using my right arm which helped a lot.

I never had the sensation of a heavy weight on my chest that I have read about in so many other people's stories.

I have a 380cc implant filled to 380cc's in my left breast, and  a 480cc implant filled to 500cc's in my right. My left nipple was also raised to even it with the right. They are so even and look so good. The funny thing is my right arm is saying "Hey what am I bumping into? There was hardly anything there before!"

I did experience headaches due to the pain medications. My doctor was able to help with this. I am now on no pain medications, and looking forward to getting back to a normal active life style over the next couple of months.

I do not have children so the was not a factor in my decision to have a breast augmentation. Over all the procedure was what I expected and I am very happy. I can't wait to shop for new clothes and styles which never fit before because of my huge irregularity. I'm sure with my new and improved figure it is going to be so much fun, and a great confidence booster to actually show them off.
