i just recently had my mammogram which set up a lot of anxiety because this one was the first one where i had a tremendous amount of compression and after questions as to whether or not my implants had been damaged. the mammogram, which is not the most accurate, showed no problems. my implants are 21 years old. i have never had a problem in the past. they are behind the muscle and seem part of my body now. i saw a plastic surgeon about my anxiety and he suggested an mri, possibly would reveal any leaks. however, i am considering replacing them with the newer ones, yet, i really don't want to do that, but i remain anxious. are there many people with older implants that have had no problems. i am trying to do as much research as i can. my husband, of course, wants me to replace them. i have had 3 children since l986, and yes, they have gotten smaller, but it doesn't bother me. i am just worried that sometime in the future i will have to replace them.

can you help me with these questions?

thanks in advance
